OUR MISSION

The Más y Más Music is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that utilizes a collective impact approach of outreach, education, and performance to create equitable pathways for continuous learning, mentorship, support, and lifelong professional development within the creative industries—guiding students and emerging artists toward sustainable careers.

Through our four-phase pathway—Training Ensemble, Harmony Hub, and Career Launch Incubator—we connect education directly to real-world experience, empowering the next generation of creative professionals to thrive.

The challenge

Talent alone is not enough. Students are told to “follow their dreams,” yet are rarely given the tools to turn passion into sustainable careers. Traditional music education emphasizes performance but often overlooks entrepreneurship, industry skills, and workforce preparation. As a result:

  • Graduates face limited job pathways and financial instability
  • Critical industry roles go unexplored and unfilled
  • The transition from school to professional life is broken

Too many talented young artists leave the field—or never enter it.

Our belief

A thriving career in music requires more than talent.

At Más y Más Music, we believe success is built through:

  • Entrepreneurial thinking
  • Hands-on, real-world experience
  • Exposure to multiple career pathways
  • Strong mentorship and professional networks

Our goal is simple: to ensure students don’t just enter the industry—they thrive in it.

Our Model: A Four-Phase Career Pathway

Phase 1: Training Ensemble (Learn + Earn)

A modern professional orchestra of 25–35 recent graduates, selected by audition, employed on two-year salaried contracts with full benefits. Fellows perform in technology-driven productions, receive entrepreneurial training, cross-train in production disciplines, earn college credit, and mentor high school students in every tour city.

Phase 2: Harmony Hub (Connect + Grow)

A virtual education and networking platform hosted on Reflections Software, providing expert-led courses, career resources, collaborative project spaces, and mentor–student knowledge exchange. Harmony Hub connects fellows, students, alumni, and industry partners in a living ecosystem of learning and collaboration.

Phase 3: High School Careers Program

We work with local high school programs ( or local clubs) introduce students to production, engineering, touring, technology, and performance-adjacent careers. We offer a simulation of setting up your own concert expereince from marketing, ticket sales, promotions, sound, stage design, song selection and mentorship opprtunites.  Studnets will have leadership opportunities to teach the fellows about their culture and community .  preparing students for both higher education and the workforce.

Phase 4: Career Launch Incubator (Build + Launch)

A post-fellowship incubator supporting graduates as they launch creative ventures, ensembles, and professional careers through coaching, paid projects, mentorship, and access to industry resources—ensuring momentum beyond the program.

Impact

  • Paid professional experience for young musicians
  • Career-ready high school graduates
  • Expanded access to industry knowledge and mentorship
  • Stronger creative economies in every community we serve

We don’t just prepare musicians for jobs—we prepare them to create opportunity.
